On March 25, 2025, our Guangzhou branch accepted another car shipping order from Nansha to Oran, a North African city in Algeria. Unlike transporting vehicles by the special and convenient Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessels, shipping cars by traditional containers is still quite tricky, considering multiple challenges ahead, like the limited space and solid fastening methods, but containers also provide the second choice for the urgent orders, as the long line of Ro-Ro vessels booking issue has no hope to be solved in the near future.
Our achievements:
✔ All seven 40HQ containers were safely loaded, increasing space utilization by 25%, reaching a leading level in the industry.
✔ No delays in the sailing schedule; 28 cars arrived in Algeria on time.
✔ Full visibility monitoring allowed customers to track the status of the cars in real-time.
Case background

To load four oil cars into a limited 40HQ container space has already reached the loading limit. Any slight mistake could not only lead to vehicle scratches but also pose safety hazards. Therefore, our team, relying on rich practical experience, accurately measured the dimensions and structure of the cars before loading and simulated various loading schemes. During the loading process, the on-site staff strictly controlled the placement angle and safety distance of each car. With superb operational skills, they successfully and securely loaded four cars into each container, achieving the maximization of loading quantity while ensuring safety.
The review of the shipper profile establishment by the shipping company was another significant challenge in this transportation process. Given the tight schedule and the fact that the shipping company does not work on weekends, any delay in the process might lead to a delay in the sailing schedule. To ensure the smooth progress of transportation, our business personnel closely monitored the review progress of the shipping company, actively communicated and coordinated multiple times with the shipping company, urging them to carry out container loading concurrently with the review and establishment of profiles. With efficient communication skills and strong coordination ability, we successfully achieved seamless connection between the two tasks, ensuring the punctuality of the sailing schedule.
Challenges:
1. The maximum loading capacity is four vehicles per 40HQ container, and during the loading process, it's crucial to maintain a safe distance. Under the premise of ensuring safety, we aim to load the maximum number of units.
2. The timeliness of shipper profile establishment reviewed by the shipping company poses another challenge. Given that the shipping company does not work on weekends, it's necessary to promptly urge them to proceed with profile establishment while simultaneously loading containers to avoid any delay in the shipping schedule.
